The project, which has been running at REGUA since June, is funded by the German Ministry of the Environment through the International Climate Protection Initiative (IKI).

The event was attended by members of the organizing team from both Germany and Brazil, as well as several partners and stakeholders involved in the initiative. Together, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to environmental conservation and restoration, highlighting the importance of international cooperation for the protection of ecosystems.

In the photo above we have a record of one of the most memorable moments of the event, the planting of the recently discovered Eugenia guapiassuana , a name given by researchers in homage to the location of Guapiaçu, in the municipality of Cachoeiras de Macacu, where the species was identified for the first time by Messias Gomes da Silva, an employee of the Guapiaçu Ecological Reserve (REGUA).
